The Big Finish

Mixing zombies with a historical war film turns out to be a perfect blend. Rumors of Hitler and Russian experiments on people have long been relevent and this is the first film to touch on this topic in such a graphic manner. The cinematography is excellent especially during the shootout scenes. The scoring is also used masterfully to add drama to situations. This film also does a good job of implementing horror in such a fast paced action moments. I would argue there are more meaningful jump scares here then in most scary movies. The more this movie progressed the more invested I became. Lack of character depth and meaningful dialogue are the ony two grievances I have with this project. Then again this film doesn’t tak itself so seriously but attempting to tackle such an ambitious topic, I would have really enjoyed it more if it did. High reaching in potential Overlord is a stellar piece that will keep audiences devoted from start to finish.
