The Big Finish

There is that one parent that is always trying to leave their kids with you and you don’t trust them 100% to come back soon. A Simple Favor will definitely make you question those over friendly people who never show up to events that regularly happen. From Crazy Rich Asians to Crazy Rich Housewives, Henry Golding definitely has what it takes to be a big star. Blake Lively was the most interesting as a character that I have seen. Anna Kendrick is very impressive showcasing incredible range and versatility. One could definitely make the argument that this is the peak performance for Kendrick, Lively, and Golding respectively. This movie played it very close to the vest about what the plot was actually about not giving away anything in the trailers or promotional material. Some of the humor didn’t hit for me or work with the overall flow of the film. Even for a dark comedy some of the jokes and moments were way to farfetched. This picture builds intrigue through unpredictability and always had me questioning what was going to occur next. A Simple Favor is a surprise fun hit that will keep you guessing until the final frame.
