THE BIG FINISH

The NBA does really stand for nothing but actors. It is cool to see all of my favorite players past and present having so much fun on-screen. I am here for all of the Uncle Drew sketches but this entire movie seems very thrown together with no effort put into the script. With as hot as Tiffany Haddish and Lil Rell are right now I am shocked at how little I was entertained by them mainly because they had nothing to work with. As a huge basketball fan I would have loved to see more hoops being played. All of the balling is bookended with the real bulk of the story consisting of Uncle Drew trying to find his friends and convincing them to play in the tournament. I am definitely overshooting because this film is harmless and knows exactly why it was created. Uncle Drew may score with some audiences but is still a missed opportunity.
