The Big Finish

We have all been admitted into whore school. Jennifer Lawrence clearly passes here as she is a huge star and captivates whenever she is on-screen. This is a very risqué project for the Academy Award winner but can tell that she has been seething at the opportunity to reinvent herself. For me the sexual aspects came off weird and took me out of the movie. I honestly felt that if those scenes were omitted and the picture was 20 minutes shorter this would be even more of an immersing thriller. Especially considering Jason Williams, Red Sparrow writer is a former CIA agent and thought this did a great job of depicting the lifestyle. The elements of a good film are here this is just a very intricate genre to execute effectively. For as much graphic nudity and even a rape scene in the first act there is no payoff. Dominika learns the art of seduction and how to manipulate her targets and never utilizes these tactics in her missions. This sexy spy thriller is an artistic achievement that will keep viewers amused and assuming. To gain an advantage one has to be able to use their talents whether it be with the mind or body. As if you can’t be used you are useless.
